Background
Akoben is a wind instrument made from the horn of a deer or antelope. It was used to signal an alarm to summon warriors to battle. Other horns are musical instrument which are used to convey messages, recount history, recite proverbs and sing praises of rulers and distinguished persons. It is also used to sing dirges for valiants but fallen ancestors.

This symbol signifies alertness and readiness to serve a good cause. It urges people to be ready at all times to serve their nations even in times or war. It also stresses the need for loyalty to one’s nation. This is a symbol of loyalty, devotion and service.
